Legendary broadcaster David Marsden passed away last week at the age of 85.

He truly was legendary.

He imagined the unimaginable, in a world filled with formats and consultants.

He discovered, nurtured and supported musicians that other station deemed irrelevant, irreverent, or just too far off the beaten path.

He didn't care. He had carved a new path.

He inspired announcers to be themselves. He could be critical, but it was constructive criticism.

David Marsden was a visionary. He was a radio romantic. He was a brilliant communicator.
